((This is the closest thing I could find that matches what I had in mind, so if you would please mentally edit the picture and change the hair from blond to black and the eyes from blue to brown, that'd be appreciated.
Name and Number: Chiaki Sakura...753 (Read: Seven-Five-Three)
Nation: Japan
Gender: Female
Age: 29
Role: Teacher...Japanese, Music Theory and History; unofficial school counselor
Birthday: March 3
Team: Red
Personality:
Despite mainly living abroad for the past fourteen years or so, returning to Japan only for short visits, Sakura has never lost her Japanese habits. She usually dresses in a yukata, and when formal wear is required, she shows up in a kimono. She tends to bow as a greeting instead of shaking hands, and only uses a chair when she absolutely must - she prefers sitting on tatami.
Sakura is very polite and very quiet. She'll never speak to someone without using honorifics, and unless she's teaching or spoken to, will rarely talk. When she does talk, it's very calming and often filled with wise advice, which is why many students come to her when they need someone to talk to. Be careful though...it's very easy to accidently spill some secrets when conversing with her.
Sakura is always smiling - even when there's seemingly nothing to smile about - and always seems to know something that others don't.
History:
Sakura was born into a very traditional Japanese family. As a child, she learned how to play traditional instruments such the koto and the shamisen, as well as the art of Japanese dancing and the tea ceremony.
She herself is an alumni of the World Academy. After she graduated, she headed to Paris, France to further persue her studies in music. While there, she also served as an 'information seller' of sorts - she would tell anyone anything that they needed to know, provided that she knows the information herself and that they give her information that she deems is of equal value.
After getting a Masters degree at age twenty-five (Music Theory/History), she decided to 'retire' from field work and luckily, found a job with her old school teaching Music Theory and History as well as Japanese. Unfortunately, she can't quite seem to escape from the life of a 'information seller', since ever since she started teaching/acting as the school counselor, students have been bombarding her with questions such as "Will AAA like it if I give him chocolates for Valentine's Day?", "What BBB's favorite color?" and "When exactly is Mr. 404's birthday? I've asked him ten times and have gotten ten different answers."
School Identity:
Sakura's actually a very lenient teacher, and prefers letting students learn in their own way and at their own pace. Don't let her catch you sleeping in her class, though, or she'll make you stand in the hall carrying full buckets of water in each hand. She says she's a faculty advisor for Team Red, but in truth, she's totally unbiased - a piece of information costs the same amount for all three teams, though smart student know to bribe her with sweets. The ideal sweet to give her for the max amount of information? French pastries. But that's classified information. So far, no one at the World Academy knows that little fact about her. She also acts as the school counselor - students go to her when they need to vent and get advice about the various things that can trouble a teenager in life. She can usually be found in the Japanese classroom.
Skills:
Sakura can play the koto and the shamisen, and if you ask nicely, she might perform for you. She's also good at traditional Japanese dancing, and knows the way of the Japanese tea ceremony.
She also knows things. A lot of things, and in a wide variety of subjects, from the un-classified to the classified to things that should be rated R to the n-th power, in which n = infinity. If you need information, she's one of the people to go to. If you're a teacher that needs an excuse to take points off the other team, she'll dig up some dirt about them as well. She's also a good person to ask relationship questions: "Is XXX single?", "Is YYY cheating on me?", and so on.
RP Sample:
Sakura sat quietly at her place on the stage, waiting for Principal Rome to finish his usual 'Start-of-term' speech, which she noted was the exact same one as last year's. Briefly, she wondered if Principal Rome really was too busy to come up with a new speech, or if he was just plain lazy, and pushed the thoughts away when the man on stage began explaining this year's special event: the division of the school into teams for a year-long competition.
She was one of the teachers leading Team Red. The faculty had been informed of the plan a few days ago and had been asked to choose which team they wanted to lead. She had picked Red without much thought- after all, red was the color of the rising sun on the Japanese flag, but now that she thought about it, perhaps White would have been a better choice, considering the role she played in school. Oh well, what's done is done - and leading Team Red doesn't seem too bad, she decided as she watched the students announce their chosen teams, it seems like pretty much everyone on my team has a great deal of potential.
After that came the teacher introductions. She stood up and made her way to the microphone when her number was called. "Konnichiwa, minna-san. To the sophmores, juniors, and seniors, welcome back. To the freshmen, welcome to the World Academy.
"I am 753-sensei, though if you find that to be too much of a mouthful, I also answer to Mai-sensei. I teach Japanese as well as Music Theory and History. I also act as the school counselor here.
"This year, I'm a faculty advisor for Team Red, but no matter what team you're on, I'll listen if you come to me with troubles, and will do my best to give you advice. I look foward to working with you all." With that, she returned to her seat and quietly waited for the end of the Opening Ceremony to come.
Other:
Sakura is going to be quite different from Kiku, since I wanted to portray the traditional side of Japan with her, instead of the manga-and-doujinshi parts of the Japanese culture.
This is probably full of typos. If you catch one, tell me and I'll fix it.
