Name/Number: Alfred F. Jones, Number 1776
Nation: United States of America
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Year: Third Year
Birthday: July 4th
Team: Blue
Personality: Alfred is a friendly, idealistic boy who loves to make his presence known. His boisterous demeanor often causes others to believe he is of little intelligence; in reality, he is quite smart, but prefers instead not to read the situation. When talking about subjects which he has great passion for, his intelligence is far more apparent.
Despite great efforts to appear heroic, he cannot stand anything to do with ghosts, and becomes utterly hysterical with fear. If interrogated about this reaction, however, Alfred will vehemently deny everything, as heroes don't get scared!
Alfred is very interested in helping people out, but often over-zealously butts into others' affairs, leading people to believe he is nosy. In all actuality, he just wants to help, and believes his ideas are the best way to accomplish any task.
History: Alfred grew up in Brooklyn, New York City with both of his parents. From an early age, he dreamed of becoming like the superheroes he idolised, dressing up as a different one each Halloween until he was thirteen years old.
Before enrolling in the World Academy, Alfred was a student in a city school, where he learned basic defense skills, as aggression between students was not unheard of. He was a good kid, and attempted to stay out of trouble as much as possible. If any friends of his ever fell into any danger, however, Alfred always jumped to defend them.
Alfred had no idea the true intent of the World Academy upon learning of his selection, but decided to attend for the school's prestige; he reasoned it was probably far better than any school in Brooklyn. Only when he had arrived did he learn the nature of the school and its involvement with international espionage. The idea of becoming a spy didn't daunt the young, heroic hopeful, however!
I am open to establishing connections with other characters. Contact me if you wish to pursue this!
School Identity: Alfred has been attending the World Academy since he was fifteen years old. In that time, he managed to gain a reputation for being generally well-liked, despite his loud demeanor. Alfred is quite athletic, and participates on the school's lacrosse team. Additionally, he is a member of the Film Club, where he likes to show off his often convoluted action films. His love of socialising has led him to become Public Relations Officer for Student Council.
Skills: Outgoing and amicable, Alfred has a talent for making friends easily. In school, he is an average student, but possesses an adeptness for maths and archaeology. To support his espionage training, Alfred is very athletic, participating in sports clubs for the school. Due to sports, he is of relatively high strength, which, coupled with the rudimentary fighting knowledge gained in New York, has made him skilled with hand-to-hand combat. His skills as a spy are often hurt by his inclination to get bored easily and react without completely thinking through a plan.
RP Sample: As the World Academy opening ceremony began, Alfred found himself only half-listening to the principal’s speech. Since arriving at the academy, the rules hadn’t changed, and he therefore deemed the newest edition of his comic magazine more important. He slumped down in his seat, determined to filter out the background noise and read about Captain America instead.
Despite his efforts not to pay attention, a sudden shift in the focus of Principal Rome’s speech caught Alfred’s interest. From what he could gather, it seemed as though the school would split into teams and compete against each other for points.
Sweet! A chance to show everyone the full extent of my heroic powers! Captain America was quickly forgotten as Alfred tried to catch more of the speech.
It seemed the principle had begun reading numbers, and Alfred listened excitedly for his. Before Rome could even finish uttering, “Male United States. Number 1776,” the boy was already well on his way to the microphone. Jogging across the stage to the podium, he grabbed the microphone out of its stand, and turned to face the crowd of students.
“Team Blue, baby!”
With a mischievous wink and grin, Alfred returned the microphone to its stand and continued his energetic jog back to his seat. Oh, yeah. This year was going to be awesome.
Other: Just one thing - come late April/early May my activity will slow down due to AP testing, but I plan to return to normal posting once tests are done!
