Name and Number: Bryson Zane Kirkland - - - #143
Nation: New Zealand / Aotearoa (Maori) / Nova Zeelandia (Dutch) / Nyūjīrando ニュージーランド (Japanese)
Gender: Male (But looks androgynous)
Age:16
Year: Second Year
Birthday: February 6th
Team: Red Team
Personality: Bryson is a stereotypical Kiwi. Nice to those he meets, has a bright and vibrant warmth about him, willing to go out of his way to help with joking warnings and a smile that can make you wonder if he's mad or not; but he is fiercely proud, and has a deep love for his culture. He is also protective of those he loves, enough so to act pre-emptively to defend them.
His greatest strength is the fact that he does not look as scary as he can be. He loves sports that are on the extreme side, his home being the birth place of many extreme sports, such as bungy jumping. He is also, hands down, the best Rugby player you could ever find.
He is skilled with a Taiaha, and has in his veins the blood of the most fearsome warriors in the history of Polynesia. He has a trigger temper, and once you set him off, blood will spill. The only person alive who knows how to calm him is Australia.
Edit: That being said, let me explain "trigger temper". If he rounded a corner of the school and saw, say, Belgium talking with Australia, giggling at a joke the man just told, in all innocents... Bryson would have a massive Yandere freak out, Grab Australia and more than likely threaten Belgium with death or even physically attack her if there was flirting. It's a blind rage, and he losses himself in it. He's not super strong, and he very easily can be beaten, but he knows how to fight and he will not hesitate when in that status to attack to kill. It's a huge weakness anyone can exploit on him. And one he is not careful about keeping hidden. Because, well, like I said. Blind rage.
History: Bryson was born to a pakeha dad and a Maori mum, so both cultures of New Zealand were instilled into the Kirkland lad from a young and tender age. He first was taught to surf before he was old enough to even join school, and in school he found his true passion. Rugby. And the moment he could join a team, to the pride of his parents, he played his way into every league he could. His room at home is covered in trophies and medals from when he played no contact to last season.
He grew up close to his cousin, Alex Kirkland, to the point that they almost have a brotherly relationship, even if he lived in Australia and Bryson lived mainly in Christchurch. The two had much in common, but as Alex grew older, Bryson drew himself away from the man some. Maybe it was his teasing, or maybe it was how the man made his heart pound in his chest. Either way, no matter how much Alex pushes for them to move in with each other, Bryson always refused him, before finally giving in... only because he's helpless!
He seems to get on well with anyone, he's fond of Taiwan in a friendly way, and looks at Wy like a little sister. He gets on well with Kiku and China and Arthur and even Germany. He's not really a competitive type unless sports are involved... or Australia.
Before entering World Academy, Bryson was in a boy's school in New Zealand, the Rugby star of the region, and very popular among the boys there.
But he did have one blemish on his old school record. He has a fight on his record that sent the other boy to the hospital. Bryson is not proud of this fact, but he is not ashamed of it either. He was suspended for the fight for three days, three days he spent on the beach surfing among the sharks.
**He has two family members who also attend the school, and his reactions toward them: (so far, I'll add as needed :D)
Arthur/England: He doesn't know this cousin so well, figuring they are once or twice removed or something. And he is very jealous when Alex is around him, annoying or teasing him. Noticeably so.(More to come?)
Alex/Australia:You cannot tell on the surface, but the two are very very close for cousins, room mates and best friends... and deep down in their closet of closets, they also love one another. But Bryson will take a bullet to the head before he outright confesses this fact. Alex knows his every weakness and exploits them daily to get anything from his homework done for him to sleeping in the same bed as the Kiwi. But in public, and for a long and very tsundere fight when alone, he seems to hate the Australian, seems to find him an annoyance and a bother. They bicker and call each other a slue of names, none at all nice. But, be assured, How much Bry seems to hate Alex, his love runs so much deeper.
I am more than willing to make other connections. Just send me a message. ♥♥♥♥
School Identity: Bryson would have to be the School's Rugby Captain, because of how skilled he is, he could easily teach the others tricks and little tips to win. But with Alex as his Vice-Captain, they usually end up bickering about everything. I can also see him on the student council, as just a simple member, no real rank unless one was placed upon him.
As for his identity, he would be fairly popular, but kinda the "Oh yeah, I know of him..." kinda popular, seeing as he's sort of an Isolationist. But if someone approached him, he would not be shy nor push them away. He is very engaging and has a natural enigma about him.
He's charming, and very nice, but not as out going as others. This is sort of a downfall for him.
He is also a good student, and
Skills: Bry is a skilled surfer, loves rock climbing, and is a Rugby Star in his own right. He also loves tribal dancing, is fluent in Maori along with New Zealand English and has a love for baking, creating new cakes and Biscuits that Australia loves to steal and claim as his own.
Bryson is very public with his love of cooking, usually making Alex's lunches and making a big deal about the man forgetting them.
He is also very knowledgeable of historical facts, being able to list of date and even times of events, and has a knack of retaining knowledge of anything given to him, especially if it is purely numerical. He has a system for remembering dates and times.
Edit: However, you throw a mathematical equations at Bryson, even basic Multiplication, he will toil over it. He maintains his grades for sports, but when he's home, he cheats and uses a calculator on even the basic functions. He's good at dates, he's not good at finding x. In fact, he hates x and his alphabet buddies so much it makes him rage.
Another thing he hates is Science. He hates Physics, he hates Chemistry, the periodical table, he hates the idea of space (just to abstract and out there for him to even want to consider.) He hates Micro-organisms (Gives him the willies). He's only partial to the animals of his home, and he cried when they dissected a frog at his old school. (Pansy).
The reason Bryson loves History and Literature is he has a passion for the written word, and has, hidden in a folder in a folder in a folder in a folder not in his documents on his laptop, Poetry and short stories based in history.
He's not good at stealth, he's more the run up on the enemy and kick their arse into submission type. After screaming in Maori and doing a crazy chant and dance (The Haka). Make fun of his Haka, and he WILL body slam you. Unless your Ivan. Then he'll get Alex to do it. Because he is fairly short.
He also sucks at sports other than Rugby, Football (IT'S NOT CALLED SOCCER), and a few extreme ones. He cannot play Grid Iron. He has tried. he refused to throw the ball forward, and was tackled to the ground and got kicked out of the game for kicking the tacklers arse. He was 10. He does not GET Cricket. Not one bit. Lacrosse and Hockey just bore him. (lol) and he's not a fan of netball.
Another 'skill' New Zealand possess is his raw rage. He is willing to take on any country and not back down until he has won the battle. When in a rage, no amount of pain will stop him. And his is crafty and has the knowledge of Traditional Maori Fighting.
RP Sample: It was hot, really hot, and the Kiwi was not used to so much body heat in one spot. Glancing around, Bryson Kirkland spotted the issue. Alex was sitting near him. There was a sudden horror that swept over the Kiwi. One, he knew the man was there without knowing it, and his body reacted to the mere presence of his cousin being only centimetre's from him, their hand's almost touching. Two, The Australian smelled like he had not taken a proper bath in weeks. Inching away with an annoyed huff, he looked back toward the Principal. He was NOT well with this, why would the Aussie want to sit near him!? That Roo Rooting bastard of a man... WHY ARE MY PALMS ALL SWEATY!? That bastard... aren't we around each other enough?
Principal 'Rome' Ha, great. Rome. This will be fun was saying something about teams and colours and rivalries... Red and Blue? It seemed odd, I mean, at his old school he was in a class that was the colour black, there had been blue, red, and yellow, all having Maori deity names. But to get to pick was cool. A Red vs Blue kind of thing? Oh, his Halo buddies would have gotten a kick out of this.
Well, He knew what colour he was going to chose. Red, the colour of Maori and Kiwi pride. Looking at his wrist, where he had used a vivid to write down his number so he would not forget. '143' Someone was a hard case, making his number the number of nations there were in the world when New Zealand became a nation. But it made the Kiwi smile to himself all the same.
After several long moments, he finally heard "New Zealand? Number 143?" And pushed up from his seat. Walking to the stage, Bryson had no doubt in his mind. Holding out his hand to the principal, he shook firm, and then looked toward the Aussie in the audience with a look that screamed loudly If you choose the colour I choose, I will be pissed off, Alexander in just a short, ominous instant, then smiled warmly for the rest of the class, "I think I wish to join the red team, bru."
Returning to his seat, a smug grin was on his lips, and he glanced back at the Australian, to let his jaw drop and his tongue slide out in a threat that only the Aussie would understand. Then he returned to watching the rest of the divide. Just to be stunned when Alexander choose Red. Oh, he was going to kill that bastard.
Other: IC: Bryson has a tattoo on his left arm, that extends from his bicep to his shoulder blade, a traditional Maori tattoo that represents his cultural heritage. In his old school, it was seen as acceptable to have, but in this new one he tries to keep it hidden.
OOC: I'm a Kiwi (:D) and thus I will be on at odd times... But I have a few friends I'm going to invite to join me here :3

I use u's like a cunt, so it that bother's you, sorry. It's Colour, Favourite, so on so forth. Uuuuum, WHAT ELSE. Oh! Here, bastard isn't always bad, and I call everyone a cunt. It's just how it is.
