Name and Number: Wang Yao, 25115
Nation: People's Republic of China
Gender: MALE
Age: This is not relevant.
Roll: Student-teacher
Birthday: October 10
Team: Blue
Personality: In his earlier years in school, Yao often regarded his classmates with contempt. As a result, his childhood and teenage years were spent in near isolation. This made him eager for companionship later on; he often feels a desire to care for others in a
When he transferred to the World Academy, he was determined to be more cheerful or at least appear happier than he felt in order to somehow "relive" the years he lost before. Thus, he often comes off as being much too childish for a student-teacher. This allows him to become good friends with many of the students. He's also easily annoyed and prone to snapping but is not capable of staying angry for long (because he's tsundere).
Other traits include stubbornness, insensitivity to witty humor, and an unrelenting attachment to rules.
History: Unlike many of the other people who attend the World Academy, Yao does have a set of semi-normal parents. However, from a very young age, he moved out of his home as a gesture of rebellious independence. He lived by himself for the majority of his younger life, and even took in another boy at some point. Due to this, Yao learned how to fend for himself and others (both physically through martial arts and domestically).
When his "adopted" brother ran away from home, Yao felt emotionally devastated, as he had very nearly built his entire existance around caring for the other. To preoccupy himself, he dropped out of school and immersed himself in studying various languages and foreign mythologies. Over time, he came to fear bumping into the other when he left his house. Having not quite finished his education, he transferred to a remote school in the United States where he is currently "employed" as a student-teacher.
School Identity: In his first year at the World Academy, he was often mistaken for a normal student due to his abnormally young appearance. He used that opportunity to get a taste of student life as he worked simultaneously as an assistant for the principal. When the principal discovered his comprehensive knowledge of Chinese culture and of martial arts, however, he was encouraged to take on the role of a student-teacher instead. Overtime, he became a regularly seen member of the school's staff and is well-liked by much of the student body.
Skills: At the World Academy, Yao is known for his martial arts and knowledge of Chinese history, language, and culture. He has an aptitude for math and science and occassionally volunteers to tutor students, but his knowledge in those areas are limited by his fragmented education. Outside of school, he likes to practice cooking for his own enjoyment.
RP Sample: The TV screen's lights flickered in front of him, and Yao sighed in exasperation as the DVD inside the player sputtered and stumbled over yet another heart-wrenching scene of the asian drama he was currently watching. And he was just getting back in the mood set by the untimely death scene of the main character's mother. He clicked the TV shut with one press of a rubber button on the remote and turned his head to check the time.
Oh crap.
Today was the opening ceremony. And he was late.
He sighed, again, and pulled on the jacket that hung wrinkled over the back of his office chair. Grabbing a few of his possessions, he briskly walked out of the teacher's lounge and down over to the auditorium.
Another hectic year was about to begin. After all the time he's spent at this school, Yao still wasn't sure if all the students that applied were a little psychotic or if he just had a few loose screws himself. And that principal. Always surprising him with the most ludacris ideas and managing to pull them off.
He entered quietly through the side doors, ignoring a few stares that he received from this year's new students that were seated on static-causing chairs. The principal was finishing up his opening speech that detailed the events of the new year--including the whole team thing that he had described to the staff members just a few hours ago.
Yao himself was assigned the color blue, not that he knew exactly what that color denoted. He simply smiled faintly every time another shaking, nervous student joined his team. If they were going simply by numbers, the blue team was going to win by a long shot. Aah. It was going to be a long year.
Other: Hmm.. I think all of you know this... but I don't really like to use the word aru. Really. At all. I'll stick it in when he's being extra silly. <333 OTHERWISENICETOMEETYOUAGAINGAIS
